Welcome to Digital Heritage, the UK-based, non for profit company which believes that the key for preserving the past for the future lies in the creation, preservation and dissemination of digital, cultural heritage. The company focuses on the development of online services and platforms such as; websites, portals, social networks, and persistent worlds. We believe that quality, digital content from museums, libraries, video and broadcasting authorities, and other cultural institutions across the creative industries should be made accessible through these environments in order to act to support, sustain, and augment culture institutions and their audiences.
Digital Heritage believes that through supporting education and training in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the preservation of, and re-use of these resources, ensures that rich culture heritage is made available and accessible to all. Through specific actions, Digital Heritage endeavors to stimulate cultural diversity in Europe so that quality content may have an immediate influence on people's lives and a positive impact on their cultural identity where ever they may live. Through the realisation of cultural identity through technological, educational, cultural, economic actions, we aim to strengthen the relationships between individuals, cultural institutions and member states across the European Union.
